How myDarwin Works

myDarwin is City of Darwin's buy local discount program, making it easier to save money while shopping, dining and exploring participating Darwin CBD businesses.

Getting started is quick and easy.

Step 1: Register

Visit the myDarwin Portal and create your free account.

To register, you will need:

  • A valid email address
  • A mobile phone number
  • Acceptance of the program Terms and Conditions

Once your registration is complete, you can access available discounts in the active program round.

Step 2: Find Participating Businesses

Browse participating businesses through the myDarwin Portal.

Participating businesses may include:

  • Cafés and restaurants
  • Retail stores
  • Tourism and hospitality operators
  • Professional and personal services

Step 3: Make an Eligible Purchase and redeem your discount 

Visit a participating business and make an eligible purchase during an active program round.

Businesses will advise if any specific conditions apply to their participation.

Customers should ensure they understand any limitations before completing their purchase.

How a Discount Works

  1. Spend $40 at a participating business
  2. Redeem a $10 myDarwin discount
  3. Pay only $30

At the time of purchase:

  • Visit the myDarwin Portal.
  • Select the discount voucher you wish to use
  • Present the redemption code or details to the participating business.
  • The business will validate and process the transaction.

Step 4: Enjoy the Savings

Once your transaction has been successfully processed, the discount will be applied and recorded within the program.

You can continue using available offers during the program round until:

  • Your allocation has been exhausted.
  • Program funding has been exhausted.
  • The round closes.
